Lotion Potion

July 2, 2014

For some time now I’ve been meaning to write about inexpensive products that I use every day to help me one way or another.

Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleanser

Having issues with deep pores in my T Zone and acne from time to time, I rely tremendously on this cleanser! I like that it does not have any acne medication (since I use prescribed solutions) and it gives your face a fresh look and feel. You can score this in stores such as Sephora, Nordstrom, and Macy’s. It runs for $27 USD but I can promise you that the bottle is worth every single penny. You only need a pea-sized amount to wash your face twice a day, and it really scrubs down your pores, helping you get rid of imperfections.

Jack Black Industrial Strength Hand Healer

Boom! A month ago or so I got a sample of this lotion from Nordstrom in Fashion Valley. I had it sitting in my drawer for a few weeks until I ran out of lotion. I constantly have to put lotion on my hands because they tend to get dry in this hot Arizonan weather. I was blown away! This lotion has a minty feel and is thick enough to cover both hands with a nickel-sized portion.

I love that I do not have to reapply this over and over, except when I was my hands, of course. It has a great sent and it works in healing dry hands over time. You can find this in retailers like Nordstrom or even through Amazon.com (3 oz. bottle shown available for $15).

Kyoku for Men Oil Control Lotion

As if having acne bumps form time to time isn’t enough, I have a very oily T-zone! I swear I could probably cook a meal with the amount of oil that comes out of my face, (no good!) I have tried multiple items for oily skin reduction and nothing worked. I searched, yet once again through the “net” to see if I could find something to help me out… and here you have it!

Available through Amazon.com for $10.72, this 1.7 ounce bottle of joy will be your best friend! Warning: this bottle will not give you an oil-free face, but it drastically cuts the amount of oil by at least a good 75% percent. I apply this once a day, in the morning, and I’ll usually clean my face with shine eraser sheets by about 2pm. Not bad when I’m working hard nonstop and tend to go out in the heat for lunch huh?
