Recap: Coachella 2016

April 23, 2016

A weekend at Coachella was something that I always wanted to experience but never had the chance to do so. Either I was living in Arizona or I was extremely tied up with expenses after moving to San Diego. For this year, I decided to  really focus and work on attending the festival (and the parties along the way)...for being my first Coachella I must say I am more than satisfied with the experience!

For the weekend, I teamed up with Creative Recreation and took over their Snapchat. The CR8REC team was nice enough to hook me up with a couple of kicks to rock out during the weekend.

I attended three different parties: a pool party hosted by Missguided in Palm Springs, the Nylon Español Pool Party at the Saguaro in Palm Springs, and the Nylon (partnered with Lacoste) "Brunch Me Baby One More Time" Pool Party in Bermuda Dunes. The parties were the perfect spot to interact with other bloggers and meet people behind certain brands.

I met Gregory Davalos from Downtown Dava, we've been following each other on Instagram for a while, so I'm glad I got the chance to meet up with him in person.

Probably one of my favorite looks for the weekend: Shirt by American Eagle, Shorts by Obey (Urban Outfitters), Fedora by Brixton, Sunglasses by Dior, Bolo Tie by Topman, and sneakers c/o Creative Recreation.

And after chatting via email I got the chance to meet Reinaldo Irizarry from Reyal Fashion

I even dyed my hair! Joking, I spray painted my hair at the event.

Ok, so now let's go into detail with ACTUAL Coachella.

Friday, Day #1, we were making line to get in, and I saw someone in front of us. I thought to myself, "Is he...? Nah" but it was! I'm talking about Adam Gallagher from I AM GALLA! I couldn't believe Adam was in front of us, I asked him if I could take a picture with him and he of course said yes. He was so chill and down to earth, a bit of chit chat here and there, and we went our separate ways.

#BloggerGoals

We walked inside the Empire Polo Field and we stopped by the food court area to grab a bite. W finished eating and we walked towards the ferris wheel. The sun as about to start going down, so I took out my phone and began shooting photos left and right. One of my fave pics has to be this one, in front of the wheel showcasing my DIY Backpack. I guess everyone went crazy with this photo to the point of getting over 1,700 likes and having both Forever 21 Men and Forever 21 repost it through Instagram.

Later at night we enjoyed performances by Ellie Goulding, LCD Soundsystem, M83, Of Monsters and Men...

 Coachella Day 2

We decided to chill in the VIP Area, and we saw Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad.

The performances were great! We saw Zedd, Disclosure (they brought up Lorde and Sam Smith), CHVRCHES, Guns & Roses, to name a few...

Forever in love with this backpack, thanks Will Leather Goods!

The weekend was full of different hats!

   Coachella Day 3

After hitting the Nylon Pool Party, I did an outfit change, I freaking LOVE these pants by Jachs NY: the lightweight fabric, the fit, and the colors were ideal for Coachella.

The last day was jam-packet with great performances, my favorite ones would have to include Sia (freaking awesome performance), Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, The 1975 and Matt and Kim.

We took another visit to the VIP Area, and we watched the sunset :)

Until next year Coachella, thanks to all the brands that sponsored me for the weekend!

Happy Saturday,

Alex
