Back to the place that gave me a reason to love with San Diego: Downtown. DTSD always has something going on, Comic-Con, sports events, concerts at the House of Blues, and endless options when it comes to food and drinks. When I make my visits to downtown, I like to dress sharp; skipping the casual tee and shorts and step up the game by adding a dress shirt and tie.
Speaking of ties, the folks from Ox & Bull (a partner of Cufflinks.com) sent me over a very generous care package. Amongst their pieces, I received this pink striped tie. The tie is PERFECT for Summer; its lightweight and the colors go in hand with light-colored dress shirts. Check Ox & Bull and add some essentials to your wardrobe; you can find cufflinks, ties, tie bars, bowties, and many, many other items at reasonable prices.
Forever 21 Men was kind enough to send over this essential; a varsity-inspired jacket. An essential indeed; this can be worn year-round and goes well with anything from casual attire to the "casual dapper" attire.
This look is definitely one of my favorites for summer: bold and contrasting pieces such as the tie and jacket go well with one another, giving life to basic pieces such as the pair of Levi's Skinny Jeans, a white Topman dress shirt, and these black dress shoes from Ben Sherman.
