I'm happy to be able to blog more and pay close attention to trends on Instagram (follow me @thecasualboardwalk) now that I've made my transition to San Diego.
One of the current trends I've seen from bloggers such as Adam Gallagher (@iamgalla) and Blake Scott (@blakescott_) is the motorcycle jackets. Investing in one of these babies is definitely worth it; you can dress it with pretty much a casual to semi-formal attire. Budget conscious? No worries! If you don't feel like hitting Nordstrom or Urban Outfitters you can check out Fast Fashion stores like H&M and Forever 21.
The Jacket
Use your jacket to play out your outfit; for this instance, dressing a semi-formal attire. The jacket breaks the full-on formal attire and gives it a bit of edge.
The Shirt
How you decided to dress your shirt will define shape your outfit, and perhaps your mood; "I feel like kicking it laid back" or "ready for diner with my girl" are some things that pop on top of my head. Some ways to play it out include tucking it in, tucking one half in, or just leaving your entire shirt untucked.
The Finishing Touches
Some pieces such as a Ferragamo belt and some Rag & Bone boots go hand on hand with the look. Throw in your favorite shades, belt, and kicks and call the shots on your own style.
