I feel like I escaped from my small "Cow Town" but end up coming back for more...
Calexico, CA is one of those small towns with nothing but small stores, now an outlet, and full-on humidity and hot hot days during the summer. I always said I would end up moving into a big city like San Diego, were I could enjoy the weather year-round, go shopping at Nordstrom over in Fashion Valley, or hit the beach.
Currently, I am living in sunny Phoenix, AZ. There is no humidity (thank God) and I try to visit Fashion Square over in Scottsdale, AZ to visit stores like Nordstrom and H&M.
No matter where I might end up living, I know Calexico is the "border town" that I will always visit for years to come. My family still resides in Calexico/Mexicali, and all my friends still live in Calexico. For some Calexico might be in "the middle of nowhere," but for me this little town means more than the world to me.

Calexico, CA es uno de esos "pueblitos" donde no hay mucho que hacer, (con la excepción del nuevo Outlet que abrieron en Noviembre)…El clima puede ser fatal… siempre esta húmedo y hace mucho calor. Desde pequeño me decía a mi mismo que yo terminaría viviendo en una ciudad grande y suave como San Diego, donde pudiera gozar del clima sin tirar un pancho, y visitar mis tiendas favoritas como Nordstrom en Fashion Square.
Bueno…en este momento vivo en Phoenix, AZ. No hay humedad en esta ciudad, pero si se puede poner algo caliente. Ademas, tengo la oportunidad de visitar Nordstrom y H&M una vez al mes que se encuentran en Scottsdale, AZ.
No importe donde termine viviendo, Calexico sera mi pueblito fronterizo que visitare con frecuencia. Se que muchos dicen que Calexico es aburrido o no tiene nada interesante, pero para mi Calexico es el pueblito donde mi familia vive, y donde todos mis amigos tmb viven.
